Terms and Conditions for Private Day Tours with Authentic Adventures Isle of Mull Scotland

Thank you for choosing Authentic Adventures Isle of Mull Scotland for your private day tour on the Isle of Mull. By booking a tour with us, you (the "Client") agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

 

1. Booking and Payment

1.1 **Reservation**: A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

1.2 **Payment Methods**: Payments are made through invoice. All payments must be made in GBP (£).  

1.3 **Cancellations by Client**: 

- Our cancellation policy is as follows:

- If you cancel  28 days or more a full refund minus bank charges will be issued. 

- If you cancel 28 days or fewer before a tour no refund will be issued. At this stage we have committed resources that cannot be reallocated at short notice. We will try to rearrange the tour date with you within two years. 

- No-shows or cancellations on the day of the tour: no refund will be provided, as we will have reserved the day exclusively for your party and turned away other potential bookings.  

1.4 **Cancellations by Us**: In the unlikely event that we must cancel the tour (e.g., due to severe weather, vehicle issues, or unforeseen circumstances), we will offer a full refund or reschedule the tour at your convenience, subject to availability.

1.5 **Rescheduling**: If you need to change your tour date, we will do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability. This may incur an extra booking fee. 

 

2. Tour Details

2.1 **Tour Description**: Our private day tour is conducted in a Honda Jazz. The itinerary may be adjusted based on weather, road conditions, or other factors at the discretion of the driver/guide.  

2.2 **Duration**: Tours typically last between 7-10 hours including travel time. Start and end times will be agreed upon at the time of booking.  

2.3 **Capacity**: The Honda Jazz seats a maximum of 3 passengers comfortably, excluding the driver. Larger groups cannot be accommodated in a single vehicle.  

2.4 **Pick-Up and Drop-Off**: Pick-up and drop-off locations will be agreed upon at the time of booking. Additional charges may apply for pick-ups outside a specified area.

 

3. Client Responsibilities

3.1 **Behaviour**: Clients are expected to behave respectfully towards the driver/guide, other passengers, and the environment. We reserve the right to terminate the tour without refund if a client’s behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or illegal.  

3.2 **Personal Belongings**: Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. Authentic Adventures Isle of Mull Scotland is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items during the tour.  

3.3 **Health and Safety**: Clients must inform us of any medical conditions, mobility issues, or special requirements at the time of booking. The tour may involve walking or uneven terrain; clients should ensure they are physically capable of participating.  

3.4 **No Smoking/Alcohol**: Smoking, vaping, or consuming alcohol is not permitted inside the vehicle at any time.  

3.5 **Food and Drink**: Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in the vehicle, provided they do not create mess or damage. Clients will be liable for any cleaning or repair costs resulting from spills or damage.  

 

4. Safety and Liability

4.1 **Seatbelts**: All passengers must wear seatbelts at all times while the vehicle is in motion, as required by UK law.  

4.2 **Child Safety**: Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children are safely secured.  

4.3 **Risk Acknowledgment**: Participation in the tour is at the client’s own risk. While we take every precaution to ensure safety, we are not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during the tour, except where caused by our negligence.  

4.4 **Insurance**: We hold private hire car insurance as required by law. Clients are encouraged to have their own travel insurance for personal accidents, cancellations, or medical emergencies.  

 

5. Weather and External Factors

5.1 **Weather Conditions**: Tours operate in most weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the driver/guide. In the event of cancellation due to extreme weather (e.g., storms, flooding), clients will be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund.  Tours cannot be cancelled just because it is raining. 

5.2 **Ferry Delays or Cancellations**: We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or additional costs incurred due to ferry operator issues. Clients are advised to check ferry schedules and conditions in advance.  

5.3 **Force Majeure**: We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes to the itinerary caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, road closures, or government restrictions.

 

6. Vehicle Use

6.1 **Condition**: The Honda Jazz will be provided in a clean and roadworthy condition, maintained in accordance with UK regulations.  

6.2 **Damage**: Clients will be liable for any damage caused to the vehicle through negligence or misuse (e.g., interior stains, scratches). Costs for repairs or cleaning will be charged to the client.  

 

7. Photography and Media

7.1 **Photography**: The driver/guide may take photos during the tour for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform us at the start of the tour.  

7.2 **Client Media**: Clients are welcome to take photos and videos for personal use. Sharing media that includes the driver/guide or vehicle on social platforms is appreciated but not required.

 

8. Complaints and Disputes

8.1 **Feedback**: We strive to provide an excellent experience. If you have any concerns during the tour, please raise them with the driver/guide immediately so we can address them.  

8.2 **Formal Complaints**: Any formal complaints must be submitted in writing to hello@authenticadventuresmull.com within 7 days of the tour date. We will respond within 14 days.  

8.3 **Governing Law**: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Scottish courts.  

 

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be informed of any changes prior to their tour if applicable.
